RE: the track "Jose Dolores"

Hi,

Has anyone else noticed that the track "Jose Dolores" on the Vivi Musica CD has a slightly different organ part ( in the second part of the track) compared to the version found on the more recent (extended) CDs?

As far as I can tell the latter is missing the organ part playing the melody, so only the accompaniment part is heard.

I find this rather strange because the former one is actually the version heard in the film and was originally called "Jose Dolores - Revolutionary" on the original LP ("Burn").

Compare them yourself:

melody is completely missing in this version - only the accompaniment is heard. Furthermore, the rhythm guitar isn't heard as clearly as on the other version.

Well spotted, Micke.

We are dealing indeed curiously with another version or at least another take. Your discovery deserves to be cited in Maestro #12.

To my ears, they are the same pieces but mixed differently. There seems to be 2 organs in that second part. One mix gives precedence to one organ, and the other mix to the other organ. But it's not an easy one to figure out!
